Inkjar is a collective created to bridge gaps between art, performance, and music of all genres and mediums. Many people go to events that have a “theme,” or where all of the participants fall under the same “umbrella category,” meaning you always know what to expect when going to an event/show and don’t often leave with much of an impression. We think this model could be improved on, and we have found a way to expose patrons/artists/performers to worlds of art they often times didn’t know existed.
We currently achieve this by creating events that feature a myriad of musical acts, stage performances, etc. backed with a strong presence of local arts and goods available to purchase. Our long-term goal is to be able to provide a platform where artists can make a livable wage off of their passions.
We often try to make a difference in our community beyond the arts, so we sometimes throw events to benefit local non-profits that are doing things we firmly believe in. Sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of this page and you’ll always be up-to-date on what we are doing.
